โครงการการถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และเทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรม เพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพโคเนื้อในเขตเทือกเขาหลวงฝั่งตะวันตก
การเสวนาวิชาการ เรื่อง "การจัดการโคเนื้อคุณภาพพรีเมียมและการประกอบสูตรอาหารอย่างมืออาชีพด้วยโปรแกรม Thai Dairy 2020" ภายใต้โครงการ "การถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และเทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรม เพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพโคเนื้อในเขตเทือกเขาหลวงฝั่งตะวันตก จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช ระหว่างวันที่ 5 - 6 เมษายน 2564 ณ ห้องประชุม AB306 อาคารสำนักงานวิทยาเขตนครศรีธรรมราช พื้นที่ทุ่งใหญ่
เมือวันที่ 5 เมษายน 2564 พิธีเปิดโดย ผศ.สมคิด ชัยเพชร รองอธิการบดีประจำวิทยาเขตนครศรีธรรมราช ให้เกียรติกล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมเสวนา และกล่าวเปิดโครงการ โดยในเวลา 09.00 - 12.00 น. กิจกรรมการเสวนาและการจัดการฟาร์มโคเนื้อคุณภาพพรีเมียม ได้รับเกียรติจากวิทยากร 6 ท่าน ได้แก่ คุณอิทธิพล เผ่าไพศาล ผู้อำนวยการสำนักพัฒนาอาหารสัตว์ คุณเศกสรรค์ สวนกูล ปศุสัตว์จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช คุณสุพัฒน์ ธรรมเพชร ประธานสหกรณ์โคเนื้อศรีวิชัย (พัทลุง) คุณปฏิวัติ อินแปลง การเลี้ยงโคแบบผูกคอยืนโรงคุณวิรัตน์ เกื้อกูล จากเลี้ยงแพะ สู่ TMR โคนม โดยมี ศ.ดร.วิโรจน์ ภัทรจินดา และ ผศ.สมคิด ชัยเพชร เป็นผู้ดำเนินรายการในการเสวนา และในช่วงบ่าย เวลา 13.00 – 17.00 น. กิจกรรมการหาความต้องการโภชนะโคเนื้อ โดยใช้โปรแกรม Thai Dairy 2020 เป็นการฝึกปฏิบัติการใช้โปรแกรมในการคำนวณสูตรอาหารโค ได้รับเกียรติจาก ศ.ดร.วิโรจน์ ภัทรจินดา และ ผศ.ประพจน์ มลิวัลย์ เป็นวิทยากร นอกจากกิจกรรมการเสวนาแล้ว ยังมีในส่วนของนิทรรศการจากบริษัทที่สนับสนุนการจัดงานฯ และบริษัทที่เข้าร่วมงาน ให้ความร่วมมือจัดนิทรรศการขึ้นมาเพื่อให้ผู้เข้าร่วมงานได้นำความรู้และสาระดี ๆ กลับบ้านกันอีกด้วย และในวันที่ 6 เมษายน 2564 เวลา 09.00 - 12.00 น. เป็นการฝึกปฏิบัติการคำนวณสูตรอาหารสัตว์ข้น และ TMR ในโคเล็ก โครุ่น โดยการใช้โปรแกรม Thai Dairy 2020 ที่เป็นโปรแกรมสำเร็จรูปในการคำนวณสูตรอาหารสัตว์ วิทยากร โดย ศ.ดร.วิโรจน์ ภัทรจินดา และ ผศ.ดร.ประพจน์ มลิวัลย์ และในช่วงบ่าย เวลา 13.00 น. เป็นต้นไป กิจกรรมเป็นการลงพื้นที่เยี่ยมชมฟาร์ม และชมการสาธิตการผสมอาหาร TMR ฟางข้าว (ผสมด้วยมือ/เครื่อง TMR) ณ ฟาร์มโคเนื้อ คณะเกษตรศาสตร์ มนที่ทุ่งใหญ่ ซึ่งกิจกรรมทั้ง 2 วันที่ผ่านมา มีเกษตรกรผู้เลี้ยงโค และประชาชนทั่วไป เข้าร่วมโครงการกว่า 120 คน

School needs open source, now more than ever

Technology educator Stuart Keroff, founder of the first two middle school Linux clubs in Minnesota, has spent the last 10 years guiding middle school students to use open source as a tool to close the digital divide in education. He and his students will share how they used open source software to recycle computers for their fellow students during COVID-19 school closures.
To date, he and his students have provided over 600 Linux computers, helping students learn while also saving money for their schools.
