Meeting for organizing the 33rd Southeast Asian Games

On August 5, 2024, at 1:30 PM, the Director of the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology attended a meeting to prepare for the organization of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in 2025.

The Thai Cabinet approved Thailand as the host for the 33rd SEA Games in 2025, designating Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla as host provinces for the games, scheduled from December 9 to 20, 2025. Consequently, Songkhla Province announced the establishment of a committee to prepare for the SEA Games. Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya was assigned to manage the Information Technology and Data Processing Division, with Professor Dr. Suwat Thanyaros, President of the university, appointed as the committee chairman, and Assistant Professor Sitthichok Ounkaew, Director of the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, as a committee member and secretary.

Songkhla Province organized a meeting of the preparation committee to monitor the progress of each division’s work, addressing any issues and obstacles. The meeting was led by Mr. Somnuk Promkaew, Governor of Songkhla Province, along with Admiral Athinath Pachayakrit, Head of the Office of the Southeast Asian Games Federation. The meeting aimed to ensure efficient progress and problem-solving across various areas. Attendees included deputy governors of Songkhla, heads of government departments, district chiefs, members of parliament from Songkhla, and representatives from public and private sectors, as well as related networks. The meeting took place at Exhibition Hall 1, the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne International Convention Center, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province.
