On August 4, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 AM, the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology participated in the “Walk-Run in Honor of the 72nd Birthday: Together We Step… Preserve Rajamangala” event, celebrating the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 72nd birthday.
Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya organized this charity walk-run event along the Chalatat Beach route, covering a distance of 4 kilometers. The event aimed to express loyalty and gratitude to His Majesty the King by promoting health and wellness through exercise. This activity was part of a nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
The “Together We Step… Preserve Rajamangala” event was led by Professor Dr. Suwat Thanyaros, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, along with university executives, faculty, staff, and a large number of students. The event’s name carries significant meaning: “Together We Step” symbolizes the collective movement of many people walking and running together, while “Preserve” reflects the echo of love and loyalty to the monarchy, goodwill among participants, and cooperation in preserving the natural environment of the university, known as “The Auspicious Technological Institute of the King.”
The Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, led by Assistant Professor Sitthichok Ounkaew, Director, and Mr. Sakchai Tantivivat, Deputy Director of General Administration, along with department heads, staff, and students from the Faculty of Engineering, Computer Engineering Department, participated in the event by collecting trash along Chalatat Beach.
